"My Puzzle Self and You" is an autobiographical EDM song I wrote, composed and arranged in Logic Pro, using the conceit of building a puzzle to depict my journey of self-discovery. Working from a state of self-alienation, I gradually pieced myself back and began to have a better sense of who I am. But what completed the puzzle was my best friend, who offered me the love and support I needed to confidently be who I am, symbolized by the freestyle dance break.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

"Drawing the Curtains on our Movie" reflects my journey of coping with the loss of my best friend, expressed through three phases and the central conceit of a movie. In the first phase, I’m overwhelmed by memories, clinging to the hope she’ll still remember me. The second phase expresses my struggle to let go, as I replay our times together while watching her move on with new friends. In the final phase, I find closure—my once-strong emotions fade, and while the memories are distant, I’m grateful for both the happiness and heartache we shared.
